About Alloy 926:
Alloy 926 offers minimal mechanical properties at room temperatures, such as elongation, yield strength, and tensile strength. 926 is an austenitic stainless steel alloy with a similar chemical composition to 904L alloy; its nitrogen content is 0.2%, and its molybdenum content is 6.5%. The molybdenum and nitrogen content significantly increased resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in Halide fluids. Meantime, nickel and nitrogen not only ensure the stability of metallography but also reduce separating intergranular tendency in the thermal or welding process better than the nitrogen content of the nickel alloy. Alloy 926 has particular corrosion resistance in the chloride ion medium due to excellent local corrosion resistance and nickel alloy content of 25%.
