What are Hastelloy B2 tubes?

These Hastelloy B2 tubes are resistant to hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide solutions, formic and acetic acids, acetic anhydride, marine and brine solutions. Our tubes show resistance to pitting and crevice attack in the ferric chloride test, which is widely used in the chemical process industry and pulp and paper applications. This alloy resists the formation of carbide precipitates at the grain boundary in the brazing heat zone. When welded, this alloy is preferred for most chemical process applications. These tubes are resistant to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking.
